December 28, 2006 - It's in the Eyes... A collage produced from some of my bird images was uploaded. Take a look if you have a chance.

Bird Images Update - December 28, 2006 - I was in Florida for nearly three weeks in December and had opportunities to image while there as well as on the way south. I did a great deal of digital capture at Skidaway Island in Georgia – a short drive to Savannah and even had a chance to spend a few hours at the J.N. ‘Ding’ Darling National Wildlife Refuge on Sanibel Island before returning. In my view this journey was quite successful and I added many new bird species to my index. Feel free to take a look at my Bird Images.

November 11 - 13, 2005 - Steve Walters and I traveled to San Jose, California to attend the 2005 Advanced Imaging Conference. This was a great learning experience related to astroimaging and an opportunity to meet imagers & vendors from various parts of the United States.

October 2005 - I've been displaying/selling both astronomy and 'earthbound' printed images at a local gallery in Portland. In December I'll be involved with an art exhibit taking place in Portland with the talented folks from the Society of East End Arts (SEA). 2005 - I became a member of the National Association of Photoshop Professionals (NAPP) and attended the September 7 -9th national convention, Photoshop World, in Boston. This was a great experience and a wonderful learning period administrated by a team of Photoshop guru's that are world renowned. If you'd like more information contact me or check out the NAPP website: National Association of Photoshop Professionals. I plan to debut my 'earthbound' images section or create a satellite website soon and this is part of the process to aid that endeavor. My thanks to Scott Kelby, President of NAPP for providing the incentive for me to attend the convention. I highly recommend Scott's book, 'Photoshop CS2 for Digital Photographers'; this has been a useful aid in my pursuit.

Several of us recently formed Southern Maine Astronomers a new astronomy club that has been gaining a great deal of momentum in a short time. This will be closer to home for many of us and we'll plan activities and work with www.asnne.org, where I'll remain a member.

September 20, 2003 - Antares/Rho Ophiuchus Complex was selected as the Anacortes Photo of the Day. This image was taken in New Mexico and represents the first of mine selected.
