Rob Burgess and I made up these brief information sheets pursuant to the Sun and planets when we designed his scale solar system at his home in Brunswick.
We’ve actually been involved with two of these, one with the Astronomical Society of Northern New England (ASNNE) and later with his effort. In both cases
a scale model of the solar system indicating the distances between the Sun and planets was created. In the ASNNE version, we actually printed and
laminated the information; they was posted on stands next to the ‘planets’ and I’d imagine stayed there until the weather got the best of them.
I came across these files recently and decided to format and place them on my website as a short synopsis of our Sun and each of the planets in our solar system.
