constellation of the zodiac as it held the Vernal (spring) Equinox in ancient times (when the Sun crosses the celestial equator- now in Pisces). It is located between Pisces & Taurus. Nowadays, the equinox is actually in the constellation Pisces

Mesarthim
(Gamma Ari - Arabic ‘first star in
Aries’) is a triple star system
and telescopically shows up as a
lovely double with the stars of equal
blue-white brilliance
